How much are your hoops?
Each hoop is made to order, so each hoop cost a little different. You can get a hoop with 4- 8 spokes and each spoke cost $25. so:
    • 4 spokes $100,
    • 5 spokes $125
    • 6 spokes $150
    • 7 spokes $175
    • 8 spokes $200(I don't recommend 8 spokes hoops for most people, they are heavier and unless you are more muscular and really interested in that much fire I would say get a 6 spoke hoop or less)

How much is shipping?
Anywhere in the US is currently $15
Anywhere in the world is $50 (price subject to change but this has been the average cost)
I use USPS priority and it usually takes 2-3 days (3-5 internationally) to arrive.

What size do you recommend/have?
When you order a hoop you tell me what size hoop you want. Since I have been making hoops it seems that size is as varied as the hoopers are.
Big hoops move slower, small hoops move faster. The fire hoop is heavier than a normal hoop and so a little smaller than usual is easier to keep up. However that doesn't matter for some people. Really you should start with a hoop size that you are already comfortable with and consider the following:
    • The spokes stick out 9" from the hoop, so if you do a lot of vertical moves you will want to make sure that the spokes are not hitting the ground
    • Dropping size or increasing size will change your technique and style, for the better or worse is up to you.
    • most people order hoops some where between 34" and 46" in diameter.

How heavy is the hoop?
Unfortunately I have not weighed the smaller hoops recently but on average a six spoke hoop is about 4 lbs +/- 2-3 ozs

How are they wicked?
I use 9" of 1/2 aluminum tubing with a touch of steel wool inside and a 2" of a wooden dowel inside the top. There 3" of 2" x 1/8" Kevlar folded to cover the tip, and the 24" or 2" x 1/8" Kevlar wrapped around the top. I then drill and screw the Kevlar into the aluminum pipe and wooden dowel to secure the Kevlar.

How long have you been making them?
I have been making hoops since 2003 when I was asked by a friend to make her one. After some serious research and Development (and a couple of screw-ups) I have the version that is now being sold.

Can I get new spokes or segments?
Part of the wonderfulness of the hoop is you can simply replace a segment or a spoke when you need to without replacing the whole hoop.
    • You can also change all the segments and have a brand new hoop, (of any size you want) for only $30 (for a six spoke hoop)
    • Each spoke will cost $12
    • Each segment (without connectors) is $5
    • Segment with Connectors is $13

What is the hoop made of?
The tubing for the hoop is Polyurithane3/4" 160 PSI (irrigation tubing)
The spokes are ½ aluminum tubing (9") with 3/8" all thread bolts that are glued and riveted in.

How big are the segments?
Each segment is measured and cut to order. Small hoops have smaller pieces if there are enough spokes.
For instance if you order a 41" Diameter hoop:
    • 8 spokes each segment is 16-1/4"
    • 7 spokes each segment is 18-1/2"
    • 6 spokes each segment is 21-5/8"
    • 5 spokes each segment is 25-3/4"
    • 4 spokes each segment is 32-1/4"

Do I need tools to put the hoop together?
No tools are needed to take the hoop apart or put it together unless you need to swap out the connectors with a new segment.

    top

Do you tape them?
No but I encourage you to.

    top

Can you use the hoop without spokes?
The connector system uses 3/8" bolts and you can replace the spokes with bolts and use the hoop in the park (or where ever) without the spokes.

How do I order a hoop?
I need a little bit of info from you.
    • How many spokes do you need?
    • How big do you want the hoop (measure outside to outside diameter or outside circumference)? (there is a plus or minus of about 1/2")
    • Preferred payment, I prefer Credit cards which I accept using Paypal, however I do also take money orders but will not start a hoop till the hoop has been paid for. With credit cards I will bill you and Paypal makes it easy to pay. For money order I will send you my real name and a mailing address.
